A civilization located in the Andes that relied on the coast of Peru and tributaries of the Pacific Ocean. It was also located in a very strategic location where it was near the Amazon rain forest and often came in contact with nearby trading routes.

The Moche civilization was also near the coast of Peru and in the Andes but grew out of the Chavin civilization. This civilization is mainly characterized by their complex systems of irrigation and canals. Politically Moche was mainly governed by warrior-priests that sometimes lived atop huge pyramids.

These people lived around the area of the Mississippi River and traded with people North America and Canada. These people built large mounds that can be found all around the region. These mounds were used for burials and many other religious and ceremonial reasons.
